Christmas MarketsAvailability good
The Bolzano Christmas Markets, or Bozner Christkindlmarkt in German, have been attracting thousands of visitors during the month leading up to Christmas for nearly twenty years.
Bolzano’s location near the Dolomites Mountains along with the intertwinement of the Italian and German cultures create the perfect setting for Italy’s biggest Christmas market.
The city’s charming appearance comes from the narrow, winding streets, “tyrolean” style houses combined with Italian gothic monuments.
Piazza Walther hosts 80 stallholders in huts selling traditional Christmas goods ranging from handmade wooden, glass and ceramic products to seasonal decorations for around the house and to add some sparkle to the Christmas tree. The delicious seasonal pastries and cauldrons of mulled wine and hot apple cider located throughout the town provide a treat for your taste buds that will surely keep you warm.
The Bolzano markets run for one month leading up to Christmas. FlorenceForFun will have two day trips on November 26th and December 3rd, 2017.
